There is plenty to keep you occupied within the Afan Valley, and the Ty Afan Holiday Cottage is right in the middle of it. The Afan Valley can proudly boast around 100km of beautiful walks ranging from 1-2km (graded easy) to 10-15km (graded medium). The Glyncorrwg ponds are popular amongst fishing enthusiasts. Licences can also be obtained for local rivers. Other pass-times include canoeing, sailing and parasailing over the Bwlch Mountain located at the head of the valley.

Margam Park which is host to numerous events throughout the year is 15 minutes away by car. The City of Cardiff is just a 30min drive east from junction 40. Swansea, The Mumbles and The Gower is just a 20 min drive in the opposite direction. If you stay on the M4 and head west it is just a 1 hour drive the beautiful Pembrokeshire cost line and historic town of Tenby.
